ABOUT US
The establishment of Mponua Rural Bank Limited idea was spearheaded by Opanyin Kwaku Anin – Deceased, Nana Gyamua Amuana I- Queen mother of Amuana Praso, Nana Ahenkora Marfo II – Krontihene of Amuana Praso and Mr. S. L. Ofori- Owusu – First Board Chairman of the Bank.
Mponua Rural Bank Limited was incorporated under the Companies Act, 1963 (Act 179) on 18th January, 1983 and licensed by Bank of Ghana under the then Banking Act, 1970 (Act 339) to commence Banking business at Amuana Praso – the headquarters of the Bank on 16th September 1983.
Within 37 years from date of establishment, the Bank grew successfully and opened 7 more agencies in addition to the headquarters. Mponua Rural Bank Ltd. has contributed immensely towards improving the general standard of living of the people at areas it operates. The Bank has assisted most of the communities in its catchment areas in terms of cash and materials (like cement) donations, towards community infrastructural development projects like construction of market centers and water bore-holes.
